Join us for our Annual Spring Meeting
When: Sunday, April 11th 3 PM - 5 PM
Where: Jefferson Landing
Program: Dr. Richard LeHew will talk about the history of the Town of Jefferson in the early 1800s in Powhatan County Virginia. John Rothert will speak about the role of the batteaux on the river at that time. Light refreshments to follow brief meeting and program.
Note: The site is somewhat “rustic”. Dress appropriately. Restroom facilities will be limited. There will be a shelter or tent provided.
Directions: (From Powhatan) Take Maidens Road, Route 522 North from Route 60 for 4.5 miles and turn left at Jefferson Landing Road (Rte. 618). Jefferson Landing Road is just past Cosby Road across from Tilman Farm. If you are travelling from Route 711, turn left at Maidens, and then take the first right at Jefferson Landing (.3 miles). Proceed for 1.9 miles and look for signs.
