The entries have been accumulated from the survey and documentation of Powhatan County cemeteries, and other genealogical sources. This listing is in order by the Brides's last name or by utilizing the link, the Husband's last name.        When reviewing this listing for family studies, please be aware that the names were entered as found. This means that the groom/bride or court clerk or minister (or all of them) in many instances used a lot of phonetic licensing when writing or verbally stating their names. Some entries which are obliviously in the same family are many entries or even pages apart. Some examples are as follows:
