MANAKIN EPISCOPAL CHURCH
HUGUENOT TRAIL (RT. 711)
POWHATAN COUNTY, VIRGINIA

Manakin Episcopal Church cemetery was surveyed August 9 and 10, 1996 by Sharon L. Nowery. In addition to the traditional graves to the right of the church, there is a courtyard for cremation remains to the left of the covered walkway. There is a plaque in the covered walkway listing names of the deceased whose remains were scattered around the statue in the courtyard. For those whose remains are buried in the courtyard, there are individual grave markers.

The traditional tombstone transcriptions are shown first, followed by the cremation remains and then three additional burials at Manakin found in the old St. Luke’s Church (Protestant Episcopal), Powhatan Co., Va Records 1842-1936, presented to the Virginia Historical Society by the Vestry of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 12 December 1990.
