To a Miracle of Love: Our Loving Mother

Mrs. Beatrice Naomi Gee Brown was born on July 19, 1924 in Meherrin Virginia to Herman and Martha Gee. She was the first of five children: Herman Angelo, Ruth Elizabeth, Evelyn Lelia and Clarence Odell. She married James Buchanan Brown IV and together they raised ten children: Beatrice, Patricia, James V, Theresa, Delores, Janice, Thomas, Jacqueline, Rosetta and Lisa. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, son-in-laws, daughter-in-laws, and sister and brother-in-laws. Beatrice passed her strenght, vitality, love of God and belief in the human spirit to them all. Will power, self-belief, perserverance, and love are words used to describe her. The resonance of love and caring she gave her children said to them: "I am a part of you, and there with you, I will always be". Beatrice was a hard working woman. While being a seamstress she bought all her life's experience to the art of clothing design. Her love of children never exhausted. After raising her own she continued to spread her endless joy, love and energy toward raising foster children. She extended her loving kindness to every life she touched.

She was a loving inspiration and continues to inspire us all. In the words of our loving Beatrice Naomi Gee Brown - a woman, a lady, a mother, a friend, a lover and a wife: "God bless You and Keep You Safe, Kiss One Another For Me."
