Lois Jenkins Martin

        Lois Jenkins Martin, 92, of Powhatan, died August 16, 2008.

        She is survived by one niece, Bonnie Murphy; two great nieces, Shannon and Brandy Lascolette; and one great nephew, Brian Lascolette.

        Mrs. Martin taught school for 42 years, the last 25 in Powhatan. She was a volunteer for 23 years at Johnston-Willis Hospital and Powhatan Social Services.

        Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Powhatan. Interment church cemetery.

        In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church or Powhatan Rescue Squad. Bennett and Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan, conducting services.
